Bereavement is a difficult time for us all…
We can often feel lost and not sure how to begin to move forward. For Christians, we believe that through the death and resurrection of Jesus, dying is not the end but the moment of transition, where we end our earthly life to begin our heavenly life in God’s presence.
Recognising how challenging this period can be for those left behind, at St Katharine’s with St Nicholas we would consider it a privilege and an honour to conduct the funeral of a loved one. The church is open to all, and you do not need to have been, or be, a worshipper here.
The Church of England offers a number of resources for those who are bereaved, which can be found here:
Please note that we are unable to accomodate funerals in our church buildings at this time due to the COVID19 situation. We are reviewing this situation regularly, and hope to be able to facilitate funeral services once again in the near future.
