Bereavement is a difficult time for us all…
We can often feel lost and not sure how to begin to move forward. For Christians, we believe that through the death and resurrection of Jesus, dying is not the end but the moment of transition, where we end our earthly life to begin our heavenly life in God’s presence.
Recognising how challenging this period can be for those left behind, at St Katharine’s with St Nicholas we would consider it a privilege and an honour to conduct the funeral of a loved one. The church is open to all, and you do not need to have been, or be, a worshipper here.
The Church of England offers a number of resources for those who are bereaved, which can be found here:
Please note that we may be limited on numbers of people who can attend a funeral, depending on the level of COVID restrictions in place. Please contact the Parish Office if you wish to discuss arranging a funeral.
